Baseball... Gotta Love Baseball!!!

I need to catch up on ball..... Lane played his first game a week and a half ago.... He started out hot, making 3 outs in the first inning and 2 outs in the second inning... Way to go Lane.... This year Lane is playing with the Cardinals, and Dad is Coaching with the help of several other great dads.... The team went on in the pre-season tournament to play 4 games Saturday with only 1 hour break.... He took a good blow to the face, leaving his mouth full of blood, I thought he knocked some teeth loose, but actually he cut his inner lip about an inch... But he didn't quit, he said "Mom I NEVER quit no matter how hurt I get.." he is one tough CF made boy I tell ya..... I really thought he was going to come unglued that night during treatments, I figured the hypersal was gonna get him with all the salt... but it didn't seem to phase him whew..... Boy were they tired boys.... They played from 9:30 am to about 5pm... it was a very very very long day.... But they took 2ND place in the tournament with only 9 players.... They did awesome!!! Lane didn't quite make that out but he sure tried as he slid into second base...

And here is a nice slide home.... so during this game he got 4 outs and a few runs... ahhhhh he just loves baseball.... He just loves his teammates, who are also great little ball players!!!! He cant wait till his next game...
