Make a Wish...

Meet Macey..... Lane's wonderful volunteer from Make a Wish... Lane woke up this morning with much excitement and anticipation to meet Macey... He was soooooo excited that he started those breathing and vest treatments right away without complaint... That made my morning.... :) When we arrived to meet Macey, she had a basket of wonderful gifts for Lane, one of them being this Magical Wish Maker.... Lane and Macey made his wish and sealed it with a champagne popper ( which scared the tar out of several innocent people in McDonalds, it was really funny)... So what was Lane's wish? Well you know better than that... he cant tell or it wont come true... I guess we will just have to wait and see.... Among the basket of gifts was a bat and ball.... Right up Lane's alley... While we were in McDonalds Lane was really having a hard time sitting there, that bat and ball were taking over his thinking process..... he just had to play.... so after we left he held on to his magical wish maker until we could find a road side rest area off the highway to hit the ball a few time.... He would have never made it the whole way home.... He just had to try it out.....

He hit the ball all the way to the top of this hill (the little white speck at the top of the grass). He really enjoyed playing along the highway for a bit... After we got done playing ball we were really getting tired so we stop off to get some fattening ice cream from Dairy Queen.
When we arrived home, Lane and I were both really tired, but no rest for the really excited... Lane had to blow up the kite he received, straighten out all his crayon and line them up neatly into another crayon box and eat some of the Cars snacks.....

Then we had to head outside to pop another champagne popper... and from the looks of this picture he missed the whole event lol....
Then we flew the buzz lightyear kite.... Really neat kite.... he ran and ran and ran... He didn't care that there was absolutely no wind he would continue to just run.... He ran so much his pants were falling off lol...
Lane had a wonderful day... And loved meeting Ms Macey.... When asked what his favorite thing was, he said he loved it all..... Hoping his Magical Wish Maker really works he slept with it so he could keep it safe...
Thank you Macey and the Make a Wish staff, Lane had a wonderful and exciting day!!! And as for me, it is really exciting being able to dream like a kid again....
