Where NO CF Exists... you heard me right... A place with NO CF....

So for the last few days I have been wanting to tell you about Lane's exciting adventure beginning this week... For the last few days Lane has been barely able to contain himself..... Patiently waiting to sign up tomorrow to go to the place where he can just be himself.... A place where NO Cystic Fibrosis exists... Yep you heard me right, NO CF... Karazy huh, but true... A place where he can become one with the earth.... A place where he can live out his every dream.... A place where his self absorbing roommate gets absolutely NO ATTENTION, because CF doesn't exist there... A place where Lane Loves Life.... A place where you NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER GIVE IN, and NEVER LET ANYONE ELSE DETERMINE WHO YOU ARE....

THE BASEBALL FIELD

Okay so that was what I wanted to tell you all, well sorta I was going to spill it all out in a really long wordy blog... It has been rolling around in my head the last few days... I know I had to start writing it tonight cuz sign ups are officially tomorrow... And then I arrived home today to find a box at my front door... So I gotta to take you back a few days.... I did receive an e-mail from a T. Gaines, it simply requested our address to send our son a package, and then it said GOD IS GOOD... ALL THE TIME... The past few days I have been racking my brain to try and figure out who it was... but nothing came to mind.... Totally stumped.... However I was quickly reminded of the last and only surprise package one of my sons received.... If you followed my blog at that time you may remember... Maggots from the Postman .... Yes you heard right maggots, you will have to read it to find out the rest.... So I thought what if Mr. Gaines sends maggots.... I guess we would get another good laugh lol... Then I thought okay it is probably someone sending me some scam..... But hey I am always up for a little fun so, why not....

So today Lane was a little bummed cuz he just cannot wait for baseball sign ups.... Seriously this child came out of the womb playing baseball... Something that has been bitter sweet for me.... Trying to understand Gods timing, and God's purpose.. It was tough wrapping my head around the idea that Lane has an extraordinary, truly insane passion for baseball since birth (no joke) yet he has CF... The two don't exactly mix... God has shown me that it isn't for me to question and that God made no mistakes with Lane...

I was reassured that God created Lane with a purpose, and God makes no mistakes. "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Psalm 139 13:14 Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)" As I look at my purposefully and wonderfully made son, I know there is no place he would rather be right now than on that field playing ball, and when I watch him on that field smiling, there is no better feeling in the world than knowing he is doing exactly what he has always dreamed of...

I am sure you are wondering how this all comes together... Well today when we arrived home, a box was at our front door..... It is the package from T. Gaines.... Soooo hoping it is not maggots, cuz that is a really big box, and that would be allot of maggots....... When we open it up.... Wow.... Wow... Wow... We were definitely surprised...The entire OU baseball team signed a helmet for Lane.... Are you kidding.... But that is not all..... The entire team signed a poster, and the Head Coach signed a baseball, and included was a OU baseball media guide...... But wait that is not all....Two more awesome xbox games... Yep Lego Rock Bank ( which we had to play with our helmet on of course lol ) and Baseball 2K9..... TheThey also extented an invitation for our family to attend a game.... Lane is through the roof... Oh Yeah.... BOOMER SOONER.....

Let me tell you this was a totally unexpected awesome surprise.... And Mr. Gaines has spilled the beans that he found out about us from our Angel Casey.... Casey is our angel that adopted Lane's Make-a-Wish Wish.... She has been such a blessing to our family.... She truly is a God Send..... So to our Angel T. Gaines, and our Angel Casey as well as all the entire OU Baseball Team we can not say thank you enough for everything, and cannot wait to meet you....

What a way to start out the season ...... WOW.. Lane cannot wait to step back on that field..... The moment his cleat touches ground on that diamond, CF doesnt exist.... No thoughts of treatments, medicine, xrays, or doctors, no throat swabs, needle pokes, stomach aches, or PFTs, just dirt, stinky socks, hotdogs, and HOME RUNS.... ahh baseball... Where CF does not exist.....

GOD IS GOOD.... ALL THE TIME....

  3. I'm telling ya ... Lane and my son .. two peas in a pod. Baseball is the only thing that matters in these kids' lives. Azer had his first pre-season game today ... while the other moms were chatting and not really paying attention to the game, I was clinging to the metal fence and hooting like I was at a MLB game. Lol.
