I was so surprised when we received a card from Carol (our surfer angel's mom), in the card was her Celebration of Life from her memorial which upon reading Nicole's poem had the tears rolling let me tell ya... Then Carol took it to the next level making a very nice donation to Lane's walk ( although she is raising money for Nicole's team as well) Which only goes to show you what an extraordinary family they are... She also included these beautiful angel's for us to wear the day of Lane's walk in memory of Nicole... I think they are absolutely precious.... We sure miss her... Nicole said Lane and her would walk together in a great strides, and she will be with us every step of the way!!! Thank you Carol for your generous donation and beautiful angel's, and above all thank you for sharing your beautiful daughter with us...... We miss her dearly!!!

This year has been one of many challenges.... Our family has been so blessed by all of our family and friends, and even many strangers... We want to thank all of you dearly for praying for us, helping us financially, physically, spiritually, and emotionally.... God has truly shown me how he placed each and everyone of you in our lives for a reason.... I will never be able to thank everyone of you enough for helping us through this journey.... But our journey does not end here... Great Strides have been made in the world of CF. 30 years ago a child with CF rarely made it to the first grade, and now with research and medications many are making it to their 30's and beyond... BUT many are still losing their battle, including children... This year we were blessed to make many friends within the CF community, but one of the hardest things for us to deal with is that we have lost so many friends to CF in such a short amount of time... Lane also lost a dear friend Surfer Girl... And that reality is very hard to accept.....

Last year a dear friend of mine Brandi, along with her friends hosted a walk for Lane in New York to help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis... My family was so emotionally broken at the time, I could not begin to express what that meant to our family.... This year we are much stronger and have joined the fight... Thank you so much Brandi and all who joined her for giving us the gift of a first walk when we were just to weak too, and allowing us to continue by hosting a second annual Lovin Lane walk... New York will always be dear to my heart!!! We love you New York!!! This year we are hosting a Lovin Lane in OKC May 8th, 2010 and we are asking for you to PLEASE HELP US FIND A CURE FOR OUR SON...
