Love me some baseball no matter what!!

This has been a really rough ball season for Lane... For the past three months he has been sick most of the time and have had to double up several times on antibiotics to maintain.... In addition he lost weight and has not been able to gain it back... He had chest pain after most games and terrible drainage.... It has been very hard for me to continue to do the best you can do and still have a sick kid...  It is his favorite season of the year, ball season, and I just want him to feel his best, but it has been hard feeling like his best is just less than it was a year ago :( ....... But let me tell you Lane NEVER lets on to anyone that he is feeling bad, he plays hard and never quits and that is what is all worth it to me.... So even though he is now all stopped up all over again and he slept for 13 hours straight after yesterdays tournament... This was his smile face yesterday!!!! Gotta Love THAT BOY!!!!    

                              And this is for all you CFers out there....

Its Over.....

Lane's last game has come and gone..... And for the first time ever he felt really bad... His stomach has been giving him allot of trouble, not sure if it is all the antibiotics, or just trying to regulate everything, I don't know but it still seems to be bothering him a week later.... I was getting a little worried that night not sure if he would actually finish, he doesn't complain to often but he just didn't feel well and it was blazing hot to boot... but Lane kicked it in gear, made 4 that's right 4 OUTS, a few more close calls, a HOME RUN and finished with the biggest smile ever.... This year has been great for him..... Look at this Snag, he made two awesome snags during the game..

Homerun #3

Did some great catching today, all the sudden he was the catching crazy man....

The CF Made boy made not one....but TWO HOMERUNS.....

Yes I know it is about baseball again.... But I can not help it.... Lane got two homeruns in his game and he is on cloud nine.... Yep the CF Made boy just got himself TWO HOMERUNS... I know we may talk alot about sports, but there was a reason God placed in Lane's heart the overwhelming desire for baseball..... I have come to be soooo grateful for that desire, it just may be his desire for baseball that saves his life..... It is the best lung therapy and exercise he could get to keep himself as healthy as possible, and as far as Lane is concerned when he steps on that field, cf doesn't exist..... He is there to win... with or without CF.... (okay so he is also a little competitive, no harm in that lol lol) I know that every CF child is different, and sports may not be possible for everyone, but if it is possible I want to encourage every CF parent to step back and let their perfectly CF Made Children Shine.... God made no mistakes, he made them tough and he has gifted them all with extraordinary talents.... So listen to their hearts, find their talents and let them SHINE ON.....they have a story to tell....

Baseball Paint....

I get lane out of the back seat at practice to see he decided to put his own war paint on with out a mirror lol.... Precious..... ( of course this pic was taken after practice, but you get the drift ... Love it)

Wasps

My Lil Lane is allergic to wasps.... Ouch.... He got stung twice during a ball game, but no worries that was not going to prevent him from playing.... He is one tough ball player and I am not sure he would quit for anything lol.... This is after three days... One sting on each leg... It even swelled up his foot....This is at the seven day mark, when he broke out in hives.... I read that it is very rare but can happen at the 7 day mark.... Sure enough he had hives....

LOVIN ME SOME BASEBALL!!!

This is the picture of one hard playing ball player.... Lane just finished his Season with the Cardinals.... They took 1st in the End of the Season Tournament, along with 2nd place for the pre-season and the Snow Glenny... They also placed in the League Standings...Bottom line they ended their season with a good amount of hard ware lol.... 3 medals and a Trophy.... Oh and lets not leave out the two Wasp Bites Lane also received last night during the games.... Lucky for him a team mates mom was kind enough to run home and get him some ointment... This is one worn out boy.... He played hard and LOVED every minute of the season...... BUT WAIT it is not over, we found a league just starting up in another nearby town so we joined up..... OU Dreams............

This is the site of a boy who is having a day of dreams come true.... Lane chillin out in the OU dug out... I do not think I have ever seen Lane smile so much in a day... It melted my heart to see him so incredibly happy, enjoying life where NO CF EXISTS- the baseball field!!!!

This was truely a day to dream about for years to come!!!

What an awesome pitch, and the crowd hollers.....because he makes it clear across the plate to the catcher for an AWESOME PITCH!!! Let me tell you, Lane was sooooo over the moon to be able to throw out a first pitch.... a true dream came true on that ballfield, one that will never be forgotten.....
